Alt Text

Rabbi Yehudah Silver enthralls audiences with his passion, charisma and dramatic style of presentation. Originally from Chicago, he was educated both in the United States and Israel where he studied under some of the great rabbis of the late 20th Century. He brings to the podium years of in-depth study and educational experience.

Rabbi Silver served as principal of two Jewish Day Schools in the United States before moving to Israel, where he was Director of Outreach Programing in Aish HaTorah Yeshiva in Jerusalem. It was there that he founded and directed the internationally acclaimed Discovery Seminar.

He later moved to the United Kingdom, introducing Discovery to London while also serving as superintendent of Jewish schools. His next stop was Memphis, Tennessee, where Rabbi Silver lead a synagogue and was director of the Center For Jewish Awareness.

In 2009, Rabbi Silver returned to Israel, where has been teaching in a seminary for post-high school girls in Jerusalem. He lectures extensively throughout North America, Israel, Europe and South Africa.

Rabbi Baruch and Rebbetzin Shani Frankel

The Frankels spent the past four years creating and building the Buffalo branch of Aish New York, primarily focused on Jewish college students and young professionals. Rabbi Frankel is now Executive Director of Aish Greater Washington, responsible for the management of the branch, as well as teaching and leading many regular educational and social events.

During his years studying in Israel, Rabbi Frankel led the Shabbat Experience for Birthright, helped create a Purim program for Kibbutzim and distant IDF bases, and taught a weekly Torah discussion group for American college students. He also taught for the JWRP and the renowned Gateways seminar. He received rabbinic ordination from Rabbi Yitzchak Berkowitz of the Jerusalem Kollel.

Mrs. Frankel was also born in England and grew up in a home focused on Jewish outreach. In Buffalo, she mentored female students and community members and taught in a local elementary school and Hebrew school. Here in Rockville, she hosts Shabbat meals, Challah bakes and will be launching new women’s programming after the holidays. Mrs. Frankel is also a certified marriage counselor.

The Frankels and their four children, Tali (10), Dovid (7), Yossi (5) and Tova (16 months), moved into the neighborhood over the summer and officially started at Aish Greater Washington on August 1st.
