Inspiring Classes

Short, dynamic classes on topics like practical parenting, exploring the depths of Jewish values, and setting our sites high for the new year. This year’s guest speakers are Rabbi Dovid and Mrs. Shifra Yachnes, Rabbi Hershel Lutch, and Dr. Ari  Yares, along with our own Rabbi Baruch Frankel and Rabbi Stephen and Mrs. Ruth Baars.

Rosh Hashanah Kidz Camp

Kids off school on the second day of Rosh Hashanah? We’ll engage them with games, edible crafts, sports, shofar blowing, and so much more. Meanwhile, you’ll learn creative tools and strategies for dealing with life’s ups and downs (including parenting tips for coping with all kinds of behavioral challenges in your kids) in an exclusive workshop led by “The Innovative Dad,” Dr. Ari Yares entitled Dealing with the Present: A Gratitude Workshop for Adulting in Challenging Times.

User-Friendly Services

Our prayer services include short, inspiring bits of wisdom from our Rabbis and community leaders and lots of English. They’re geared for those who want to deepen their connection to God through the words of the prayers, the familiar songs and melodies, and the relaxed pace.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ

We look forward to seeing you for the start of the new year and hope you and your families are doing well during this challenging time.

This year, we are again offering an exciting array of traditional services, inspiring classes and High Holiday experiences. All of our offerings will comply with regulations established by Montgomery County for religious organizations.

By attending, all signal their agreement to comply with posted signs outlining our Covid policies, which adhere to current Montgomery County guidelines. As of now, this includes wearing a facemask with the nose and mouth covered at all times. If County guidelines change, our policies will change with them.

We will provide hand sanitizer and cleaned prayer books. We will make every effort to accommodate as many people as possible and to make best use of our limited seating areas. If a class or service is full, we will strive to make additional classes or services available.

Currently, Shifra is co-director of Spark Orlando,  an organization dedicated to connecting and inspiring Jewish women. She brings her passion and love of people to everything she does, whether teaching, mothering, running a business, or community involvement. And, she is a big sister of our own Mrs. Shani Frankel! She and her family will be joining us for Yom Kippur.

In his speaking engagements, Rabbi Yachnes’s warm and calm presence and his inviting smile offer his audiences the freedom to attain their next level of growth.

He currently directs the men’s division of JOIN Orlando (Jewish Outreach INitiative), working  to provide Central Florida’s Jewish community with a relevant and meaningful Judaism, and a growing connection to their heritage. In addition, Rabbi Yachnes works as a life coach empowering others to step into their best selves in their relationships, careers, health, and spirituality.

Rabbi Yachnes will be teaching classes and helping lead prayer services on Yom Kippur.
